Having broken the record for Premier League spending this summer, Chelsea will be hoping that they can improve their recent form with a fixture against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel will have been disappointed as his side were beaten by Southampton 2-1 on Tuesday night, on the same evening as West Ham earned a creditable 1-1 draw with Tottenham at the London Stadium.

That result aside, it has been a difficult start for the Hammers, who alongside Chelsea have become one of the Premier League's top spenders.

New signing Lucas Paqueta could make an appearance having made his debut on Tuesday while new Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to miss out having suffered a fractured jaw during a break in at his home in Barcelona before moving to London.

The match will take place at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, September 3rd and will kick off at 3pm (BST)

Team news

Reece James, Trevor Chalobah and new signing Wesley Fofana are all available for selection in this fixture while it is expected that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will miss the fixture.

Meanwhile, David Moyes has confirmed that Ben Johnson will miss the fixture while new signing Gianluca Scamacca and Aaron Cresswell will be subject to late fitness tests.
