Liverpool's Premier League clash against Chelsea next Sunday is 'already in doubt' following confirmation this weekend's round of fixtures has been postponed.
The Premier League confirmed on Friday that, following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, all 10 league matches this weekend have been called off. They said in a statement : "To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game."
Richard Masters, Premier League Chief Executive, added: “We and our clubs would like to pay tribute to Her Majesty’s long and unwavering service to our country."

With regards to next week's games, the statement continued: "Further updates regarding Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course."
However, according to Telegraph reporter Ben Rumsby, there are also 'major concerns' about next week's fixtures due to the likelihood of police being deployed to London for the Queen's funeral. Should the game at Stamford Bridge be called off, Jurgen Klopp 's side will face just under a month between their league matches as a result of the upcoming international break.
The ECHO understands Liverpool are still expecting Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Ajax to go ahead as things stand - and are preparing for the fixture as normal.
Liverpool said in a statement of their own: "Liverpool Football Club can confirm the postponement of the home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday September 10. This decision was made by the Premier League following the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
"The fixture will now be rescheduled, with updated details to follow in due course. Tickets will remain valid for the new match date. Please note, supporters who have purchased tickets for the Wolverhampton Wanderers game will be contacted directly by the club with further information once available."
