Chelsea transfer rumours: Barcelona eye N’Golo Kante swoop, Lukaku loan deal ‘planned’

Chelsea still have a number of questions to answer regarding their potential summer transfer business. With the takeover process continuing to roll on, it remains to be seen how busy the Blues will be in the upcoming market.

With a lack of a real budget, it is tough to know how many new faces will be added to Thomas Tuchel ’s current squad at Stamford Bridge, whilst the futures of a number of players remains hugely uncertain. That has not stopped names from being linked with a switch to west London.

With that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest rumours revolving around Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona eye N’Golo Kante bargain deal

One of a host of Chelsea players out of contract next summer, N’Golo Kante could potentially be set to follow the likes of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger to Barcelona. According to Fichajes, the Catalan giants are interested in making a move for the World Cup winner.

However, it is suggested that they would prefer to wait until next summer to make a move, with Kante set to be out of contract. It is reported that Chelsea do not want to lose the midfielder’s services but as of yet, nothing concrete has been agreed regarding an extended stay in west London.

Inter Milan eye Lukaku loan deal

Amid constant reports that Blues record signing Romelu Lukaku is planning on returning to Inter Milan, it appears that the Italian giants are keen on a deal. As per Football Insider, the reigning Serie A champions are planning on adding to their forward options ahead of next season and see the Belgian as an ideal addition.

However, Chelsea appear unlikely to recoup the £97m that they originally paid for his services, with it being suggested that Inter will only pursue a loan deal as opposed to a permanent swoop.

Juventus doubtful on Rudiger deal

Whilst Lukaku and Kante could both be on the way out of Stamford Bridge in the not too distant future, one man whose future remains slightly up in the air is Antonio Rudiger. As it stands, the German’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign and the Blues are not able to negotiate an extension.

He has been linked with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, whilst Juventus have emerged as contenders to take him back to Italy. A deal seems unlikely though.

According to Corriere Torino, as per the Daily Express, the Old Lady are not yet willing to reach Rudiger’s wage demands, whilst they also have doubts over the commission and signing on fee that the German would receive.
