Chelsea transfer round-up: Ronaldo move blocked and Blues in five-way Dembele bidding war

Chelsea waved goodbye to another key member of Roman Abramovich's old regime when Petr Cech left the club on Monday.

Now, the attention shifts to bringing fresh faces into the club in terms of transfers with Todd Boehly and Thomas Tuchel working to sign players. Tuchel wants to mount a major recruitment drive but fans are already growing restless at the lack of activity.

Romelu Lukaku will spend next season on loan at Inter Milan while Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already left. And that leaves Tuchel short of bodies when he wants his squad to get stronger, not weaker.

Here, Mirror sport looks at the latest Chelsea rumours

Ronaldo move blocked

Cristiano Ronaldo would be just sort of huge, statement-making move Boehly is looking to make after his consortium completed it's takeover.

The only trouble is, Manchester United insist the Portugal superstar is not for sale, blocking a potentially sensational move to Stamford Bridge.

Boehly met Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes last week but new United boss Erik ten Hag insists he remains a big part of his plans next season.

Four rivals for Dembele

Ousmane Dembele still has not agreed a new contract with Barcelona, who refuse to improve his terms.

But, according to SPORT, Chelsea are only one of FIVE clubs in total to have made him an offer with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Liverpool all interested.

Chelsea want Dembele even if they sign Raheem Sterling, according to Spanish newspaper Sport, who insist his future must be resolved this week.

Kounde fear

It's no secret that Chelsea are interested in Jules Kounde but Estadio Deportivo claim his camp are becoming increasingly concerned with the transfer saga.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Kounde agreed terms with the Blues months ago but after failing to agree a fee with Sevilla, the Blues backed away from a deal.

The Frenchman was promised by his club he could leave this summer, but Chelsea have yet to make a firm bid, with Barcelona also interested.
