Chelsea transfer round-up: Graham Potter set to axe three stars amid Todd Boehly shake-up

Chelsea fans will not enjoy looking at the Premier League table.

Graham Potter's side are 10th in the standings - 10 points behind Newcastle in third and Manchester United in fourth. They have won just two of their last 11 Premier League fixtures and that is worrying considering how much they have spent in recent months.

Chelsea are the biggest spenders in Europe since Todd Boehly's consortium completed a takeover of the club last summer. They have splurged more than £400million... and there could be one or two more arrivals before this transfer window slams shut.

Here are the latest transfer rumours from Stamford Bridge...

Bakayoko's possible exit route

Tiemoue Bakayoko could finally complete a permanent move - nearly five years since he last played a competitive game for Chelsea.

Bakayoko, 28, joined Chelsea from Monaco in a £40m deal in the summer of 2017 but has spent the last four-and-a-half seasons out on loan. He has completed spells with Monaco, Napoli and AC Milan - and is actually still part of the latter club's squad.

Bakayoko has not made a single appearance for Milan this season, however, warming the bench 17 times in Serie A. According to transfer guru Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Bakayoko's loan deal at Milan will be cancelled to allow him join Turkish club Adana Demirspor.

Yet fellow transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims Bakayoko has not accepted an offer from Adana Demirspor and will decide his future in the coming days. The France international still has 18 months left on his Chelsea deal, which was renewed in August 2021.

Aubameyang on Villa's radar

Aston Villa are interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea signed Aubameyang, 33, from Barcelona last summer, but he has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge. The former Arsenal captain has scored just one goal in 11 Premier League games and is set to leave Stamford Bridge in the near future.

As Aubameyang has already played for two clubs this season, he is not eligible to play for another. Therefore, his only exit route this month is a return to Barcelona. Although that is a possibility, Unai Emery reportedly wants a reunion at Villa Park in the summer.

Aubameyang hit 31 goals for Arsenal during the 2018/19 campaign, with Emery as his manager. He scored 22 of those goals in the Premier League to share the Golden Boot with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who were both playing for Liverpool at the time.

Havertz could leave Chelsea

Kai Havertz does not have faith in Chelsea's squad and could leave in the near future, according to Sky in Germany.

Havertz, 23, was signed from Bayer Leverkusen for £71m in September 2020 but has failed to impress. He will be fondly remembered for his winning goal in the Champions League final in May 2021, but his return of 29 goals in 119 games is not good enough.

The Germany international is said to be happy to continue working under Potter and will not leave Stamford Bridge in January, but the situation could change over the coming months. It is believed Chelsea would want €60m (£53m) for his services.

Bayern Munich are not thought to be in the running for Havertz's signature.
