Chelsea transfer news: Romelu Lukaku eyed, Antonio Rudiger battle and £36m star linked

The past few weeks have been tough for Chelsea fans, with an uncertain future hanging over the club amid talks of a takeover. It comes after Russian owner Roman Abramovich saw his assets frozen by the UK Government, putting the Blues under a special licence that allows them to operate but only under certain sporting circumstances.

It means that, for the time being, the club cannot make any signings or renew any contracts until a takeover is completed. That hasn’t stopped Thomas Tuchel’s side being linked with a number of players as they gear up for a huge summer.

A number of players are set to leave as free agents come the end of the season, leaving the German with fewer options and the need for potential reinforcements. With that said, we’ve taken a look at some of the latest transfer rumours linked with Chelsea.
