Chelsea transfer news: Mauricio Pochettino gets £81m confirmation amid Mason Mount agreement

Your Chelsea transfer round-up on Thursday, June 29.

Double exit confirmed

Chelsea have confirmed the summer departures of both Edouard Mendy and Kai Havertz which will see £81million generated in sales.

Havertz has joined fellow Premier League side Arsenal in a move worth £65million on a contract that runs until 2028. The Germany international spent three seasons at Stamford Bridge and was mostly deployed as a natural striker, but Mikel Arteta intends to use him in an advanced midfield role.

Meanwhile, Mendy has joined Kalidou Koulibaly and N'Golo Kante in sealing a move to Saudi Arabia. The 31-year-old has headed to the Middle East for a reported £16million fee, and like Havertz, departs as a Champions League winner.

Mateo Kovacic and Koulibaly have both already had their moves confirmed with Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount also expected to depart this summer.

Mount agreement reached

Manchester United seem to have reignited their pursuit of Mason Mount this summer, and showdown talks are said to be just around the corner.

The Red Devils are said to have had three bids rejected by the west Londoners, with their final proposal being £55million, including £5million worth of add-ons.

According to widespread reports from the likes of The Athletic, Fabrizio Romano and The Telegraph, United walked away from negotiations after Chelsea responded with a counteroffer of £58million, plus £7million in add-ons.

After a few days of radio silence, the Express have revealed that the Red Devils have now accepted Chelsea's invitation to speak face-to-face and find a resolution to the midfielder's future.

Colwill transfer hint

Chelsea might have just revealed whether or not Levi Colwill will leave this summer after a fresh amendment was made to the club website. The 20-year-old defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge following his impressive performances while on loan at Brighton.

football.london understands that the west Londoners have been very impressed with his progress and he's expected to be a key player under Mauricio Pochettino – so, therefore, he's not for sale.

On Chelsea's official website, Colwill has now been included in the first-team men's squad section of the. His personalised profile also hints at where Pochettino plans to play him next season, which reads: "An England youth international who plays mostly at centre-back, he can also slot in on the left as a full-back or wing-back, and enjoys stepping forward as a ball-playing defender."
