£47m agreement gives Pochettino transfer hope
Mauricio Pochettino has seen his hopes of solving two major Chelsea problems this summer surprisingly boosted by Wolves star Ruben Neves. The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux in recent windows and with one year remaining on his contract, his departure appears imminent.
According to The Athletic, Wolves will receive £47 million for their captain with negotiations on personal terms currently taking place.
Despite Chelsea having no obvious interest in Neves, Pochettino's squad clear out plans for the summer could have been boosted by his transfer. That is because Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech and Kalidou Koulibaly are all being linked with moves to Saudi Arabia with the likelihood of at least one joining N'Golo Kante in the Middle East seeming high.
With a mass squad clear out planned and takers appearing minimal for that trio, the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) that has recently taken over four clubs from their country, could help the Blues move those players on with sizeable fee which would also help the club meet the regulations for their FFP deadline on June 30.

Havertz exit 'close'
Arsenal are nearing an agreement to sign Chelsea star Kai Havertz in a huge deal this summer transfer window. Throughout 2023 interest had been prominent from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid which made an an exit look possible, but a departure wasn't pushed for by the player.
However, it isn't either of those two European giants he is set to join either, but rather London rivals Arsenal in a shock twist in the transfer market. football.london understands that the Gunners have a genuine interest in Havertz, but are not willing to reach the reported £70million valuation set by Chelsea.
However, as per Sky Germany an agreement over a deal for Havertz to join Arsenal is "close". The personal terms appear to be advancing towards a complete agreement that would see the Germany international make the switch very soon.
Cucurella to Newcastle
With a mass squad clear out planned at Chelsea this summer, several big names such as Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz could all leave this summer.
Another that could be set for an exit is Marc Cucurella after the defender's big-money move from Brighton last summer hasn't really returned the valuation paid for him. The Spaniard cost £60million, but struggled with the defensive side in a team that was struggling to gain results.
It could see the Blues cut their losses, should an offer come in for the left-back, which may just be in the works this summer transfer window. According to the Mirror, Newcastle are interested in a deal to land Cucurella in their aim to strengthen their squad with quality and depth for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
