Signing number two progressing
Chelsea are progressing well in talks with AS Monaco for centre-back Benoit Badiashile ahead of a January move, football.london understands, with personal terms agreed.
Monaco, who are almost midway through the season where they bid for Champions League football once again, do not want to sell Badiashile next month but will be swayed should Chelsea offer €45million (£39.8m) for the defender.
Wolves have been really interested in signing Badiashile over the past two summer transfer windows. However, a move for the Frenchman never materialised and as he continues to impress, Chelsea have now swooped in front of their Premier League rivals.

Enzo Fernandes stance
Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez is reportedly willing to exit the club in the January transfer window and join Chelsea amid Todd Boehly's mission to sign the World Cup winner.
Reports from Portuguese outlet Record have claimed that the player is inclined to leave Benfica next month to pursue a move to Stamford Bridge.
Reece James replacement warning
Chelsea have been told that there's nothing to their interest in Celtic full-back Josip Juranovic after he emerged as a potential back-up for Reece James.
Juranovic's name was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but when manager Ange Postecoglou was quizzed on the matter he remained firm, saying: "I can say I’ve heard nothing. Nothing’s happened. As I said a week or so ago, the speculation is what it is.
"What I know is we are in a really good space as a club. Going into January we have already strengthened and hopefully we’ll strengthen further.
"I’m in no doubt that by the end of January we’ll have a stronger squad than we did going into it."
