Chelsea will step up their pursuit of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana after his impressive display in the Champions League Final.
New Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign a new No1 this summer and the Blues have settled on Onana as their primary target.
Inter want at least £50million for the 27-year-old and could be forced to sell him to help ease their financial problems.
Chelsea held talks with Inter in April and are now set to re-open dialogue with the Italian club.
Onana could not help prevent Inter losing 1-0 against Manchester City in the Champions League Final on Saturday but the Cameroon international played well.
He stood up to efforts from Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne in the first half and could do nothing about the second-half winner from Rodri.
City manager Pep Guardiola last week praised Onana and described him as “exceptional with his feet”.
Onana is now keen to resolve his future. Manchester United could rival Chelsea in a move for him and can offer him Champions League football next season, though the Blues remain an attractive proposition under Pochettino.
Alternatives options to Onana include Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel and Brentford’s David Raya.
Mamardashvili is thought to be Chelsea's second-choice target to come in alongside Kepa Arrizabalaga, with Edouard Mendy expected to be sold this summer.
AC Milan and France No1 Mike Maignan was also sounded out but Chelsea have been put off by his £80m asking price.
Chelsea have a good working relationship with Inter, having loaned Romelu Lukaku back to the Italians and signed young midfielder Cesare Casadei for £16m last summer.

Lukaku is set for talks with Chelsea over his future. The striker, who missed a good late chance to take the Champions League Final to extra time, is due to return to Chelsea this summer after spending this season on loan at Inter.
Pochettino has indicated he would be willing to work with Lukaku but it remains to be seen if the £97.5m striker will be part of his plans.
