In the space of just one week, the ups and downs of a transfer window have been completely explored by Todd Boehly. From seemingly missing out on Matthijs De Ligt, Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski, to completing a move for Raheem Sterling and looking to finalise Kalidou Koulibaly's transfer at hyperspeed, it's been a ride.
The full range of emotions has been felt as torturous rumours are drip fed, Barcelona stump up money for key Blues targets and Chelsea's never ending list of potential players gets shorter by the day.
As the Blues look set to add a world class, dominant centre-back to their exciting goal scoring winger, you almost expect a deal to bring in Harry Kane to be announced. But as it currently stands, there is just one new signing through the door, though rapid moves continue to be made by Boehly.

The American owner is acting like a man that has woken up during a game of speed chess and realised that time is precious when Europe's biggest teams are making a move. It's paying off though, and Blues fans are on the edge of their seat.
Koulibably is a big name of world football. He's one of the best defenders to never be in the conversation. Perhaps it's his lack of progress in the Champions League with Napoli, perhaps it's his longevity at the club whereas most players jump about to further their careers. Whatever it is, Chelsea are still signing an elite defensive acquisition.
The Senegal international - capped 62 times by his country - may be 31-years-old, but his lack of injuries so far in his career is promising for what is expected to be a minimum of a four-year deal. He will be bringing experience and leadership to match his passing range and speed. He suits both a three-man and four-man defence and importantly can already speak several languages, including English.
It feels like a perfect deal for a player looking to bring in the trophies and tangible success that his career deserves, and that ties in nicely with the Boehly ambition.
Here's how the news of Koulibaly's imminent transfer was greeted on social media:
@NiiNiiFC: Koulibaly is an excellent signing to make, 10/10 deal
@Ndombolo20: Vvd and probably Thiago Silva are the only ones that probably are clear. Koulibaly is the Third best cb already in thé league imo. people said Thiago silva who was even Older would struggle and hé has just done fine. Koulibaly is top Level you will find out soon enough
@LaurensJulien: Let’s be clear here: Kalidou Koulibaly is a fantastic signing for Chelsea. Even at 31, he is better than Rudiger and Christensen put together! World class player, leader, great personality.
