The Qatar 2022 World Cup is now one week into the competition, and in that time, there have been 24 games that include plenty of twists and turns along the way. There's plenty of drama to come as the group stages near their final games, with qualification on the line for plenty of teams.
For those of a Chelsea persuasion, the mid-season break in the domestic campaign has allowed for some players to try and find some form. There's a handful of Blues stars in action today, as well as some potential transfer targets for their respective nations in the competition.
With that said, here's a look at the Chelsea players and potential signings that will be playing a huge part in all of the clashes ahead.

Hakim Ziyech
Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech will be hopeful he can have an impact on his side's qualification hopes when Morocco face off against Belgium. Their European opposition sit top after a difficult 1-0 win over Canada, but with Morocco sitting on one point after a draw against Croatia, a victory against the Belgians would see them jump to top of the group and in a strong position for the knockouts.
Leandro Trossard
It's not only Chelsea players that are in action, but transfer targets too, as Leandro Trossard is one of those that will take part in Belgium Vs Morocco. The Brighton forward has impressed this season amid transfer links and will be hopeful he could continue that after a short cameo against Canada last time out.
Mateo Kovacic
A key player for the Blues over the past season, Mateo Kovacic will be hoping his club form can translate onto the World Cup stage with Croatia. The midfielder's nation face off against Canada, where three points could take them top of the group and close to a place in the next round.
Josko Gvardiol
Another transfer target is in action as RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol is set to feature yet again for Croatia in their match with Canada. The 20-year-old has consistently caught the eye with his mature performances, and he can demonstrate that again on the world stage.
Jonathan David
Gvardiol may have to deal with another Chelsea transfer target in Canada's Jonathan David, who continues to be linked with a switch. The Lille striker struggled to convert his chances last time out as his nation dominated a game against Belgium but fell to a 1-0 defeat.
Cesar Azpilicueta
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta started Spain's 7-0 thrashing of Costa Rica last week, and with results elsewhere, it put them firmly in the driving seat to qualify from the group. La Roja face perhaps their trickiest test of the group in Germany though, who will be looking for a response to their first match loss.
Kai Havertz
Chelsea forward Kai Havertz was on the end of that defeat in Germany's first game as Japan shocked the group with a 2-1 win after being a goal down. Havertz struggled to have an impact on the game as questions continued over his best position, but he will be hoping to quieten those down with a good display against Spain.
