Arsenal have agreed a deal with Premier League rivals Chelsea to sign central midfielder Jorginho, football.london understands.
The 31-year-old will join the Gunners for a deal worth £10million in guaranteed fees with a further £2million in add-ons. He will sign a contract at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2024, with the club holding the option of an extra year.
As per The Athletic, the Italian's arrival has been met with significant excitement from both players and coaching staff within Arsenal's dressing. They are said to be pleased to see an experienced player that has won some of football's top prizes join as they look to win the north Londoners their first Premier League title since the 2003/04 campaign.

However, one player that is far from pleased with the deal is Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella. When asked by Goal, who the smartest player in the Blues squad was, Cucurella replied: "The smartest player in the squad is Jorginho, 100% because he has a..."
The Spaniard was then interrupted by the interviewer, who pointed out his imminent arrival in north London. Cucurella then looked shocked, saying: "No?"
When the left-back was told that Jorginho has been pictured in an Arsenal strip, he looked bemused before bursting into laughter. Safe to say that the former Brighton man did not expect his teammate to be leaving Stamford Bridge this month.
