Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has warned former teammates Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen that he is hoping to ‘disrupt’ their fledgling partnership ahead of the FA Cup semi-final with Crystal Palace. The Blues head to Wembley Stadium hoping to secure their place in a third consecutive final.
It is not set to be an easy task for Thomas Tuchel ’s men though, with the Eagles having impressed Patrick Vieira so far this term. Two of the pivotal cogs between Palace ’s positive run to Wembley has been the promising partnership forged by former Chelsea man Guehi and ex-Fulham defender Joachim Andersen.
The former, a product of the Blues academy, signed for Palace in the summer and was followed by the Dane having impressed on a loan spell at Craven Cottage last term. One man who could offer an insight into the pair is Loftus-Cheek.

The 26-year-old saw Guehi’s progression at Cobham at close quarters, whilst he also shared the dressing room with Andersen last term across the capital during his season-long loan. Elsewhere, Loftus-Cheek is also in line for another reunion by coming up against former club Palace.
Whilst he still holds fond memories of his time at Selhurst Park, the Chelsea man is hoping to help his side to victory at Wembley.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website ahead of the semi-final showdown, he said: “I’m still friends with the people I played with there, so I’m happy for Palace. It’s fantastic to see what they’re doing at the moment, they’re in really good form.
“I’m really good friends with both the centre-backs. I played with Marc here in pre-season a lot. He’s a fantastic player, which you can see, he’s starting every week at the back and I’ve seen him pop up with a few goals as well from corners.
“Joa [Andersen] was one of our better players at Fulham last season and they’re creating a nice partnership at Palace, but we hope to disrupt that today.”
Should Chelsea reach the final once more, they will come up against Liverpool, with the Reds having eased past Manchester City the day before.
