Chelsea shirt numbers available to David Datro Fofana as January transfer confirmed

Chelsea have announced that forward David Datro Fofana will join the club in January in a move from Norwegian side Molde FK.

The 20-year-old will link up with Graham Potter's side in the New Year after Armando Broja suffered a season-ending setback during the winter break that curtailed any further involvement for him.

Hitting the net 17 times in 29 appearances so far this term, Fofana stands at 5ft 11' and already has three caps to his name for the Ivory Coast national team. The forward fits the mold as another player who Potter will look to develop much like he did with a whole range of stars at Brighton.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has only found the net three times since his arrival from Barcelona in the summer, whilst only starting just four Premier League games thus far. The 33-year-old was brought to the club by Thomas Tuchel after his troubled spell at Arsenal less than 12 months ago.

Fofana however is known to be a lifelong Chelsea fan, and is just another name from the already impressive production line of Molde. Erling Haaland's rise to stardom began with the Norweigan outfit, who were once managed by former Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

With Potter bidding to stamp his own identity on the squad following his appointment at Stamford Bridge back in September, the Blues are now chasing down a spot in this years UEFA Champions League, whilst finding themselves at present six points outside the top four.

Squad numbers currently available to David Datro Fofana: 2, 3, 4, 11, 15, 27, 31.
