Chelsea have sent a plea to their fans to remain with the team after yet another loss. This time the defeat was at the hands of fierce London rivals Tottenham and comes as the third blow in a week that has seen Graham Potter come under increasing scrutiny.
Having been bettered by bottom of the table Southampton there was hope that a derby would be the perfect chance to respond for Potter and his players but there was little to support this come full time. Spurs' 2-0 win means it is now just one win in 11 games for the Blues.
Oliver Skipp's first goal for Tottenham moments after half-time was enough to put the wheels in motion for another tough afternoon, especially with such a poor attacking record in recent weeks. Potter has only seen his team net four times in the past 11 games, leaving them closer to the relegation zone than the top four.

That they are only in the top half courtesy of goal difference is just another damning way to show just how rotten this run truly is. Potter himself took the brunt of the blame for the defeat in north London, too.
Speaking after the game he said: "I understand the question and where it comes from, but I have to try to focus on keeping on helping the team and supporting the players. I really like these players, they’re good lads. They want to do better and want to win. But at the moment we’re suffering and that is my responsibility."
There isn't expected to be an immediate decision made over his future with the owners continuing to hold out hope of a turnaround and the club have now issued a message for the fans. On Instagram a picture of Reece James was captioned: "Time to stick together."
Though it may not seem like much on the face of it there is a deeper message here. Chelsea fans have voiced their frustrations at the club, manager and players but confidence is now at all time low. It will help to beat Leeds on the field but sticking together is all that Chelsea appear to have right now.
