How many more attackers will Todd Boehly provide for Thomas Tuchel in this £200million plus summer rebuild?
Chelsea bounced back with a much more positive pre-season affair against Udinese on Friday night which resulted in a 3-1 victory for Tuchel's side in comparison to the defeat against Arsenal last week, there were still moments replicated from last season on show at the Dacia Arena.
Chelsea's attack really should have netted more than the three times they managed in the end, and a lack of composure in front of goal or making the wrong decisions yet again let them down on various occasions. Whether that was Mason Mount trying to square for Raheem Sterling when the shot was very much on or Kai Havertz producing a dreadful pullback for the £50million signing, these moments bring a sense of deja vu from last season.

However, at the same time that the first of two fixtures against Udinese was played on Friday night, big news came out of Germany which could change the plans Chelsea had in place for the remainder of the transfer window.
Sport Bild reported that Chelsea forward Timo Werner, who wasn't in the squad for the trip to Italy, was willing to take a pay cut to force through a loan exit this summer with RB Leipzig beginning to feel ever-more confident despite competition from Juventus.
football.london understands that nothing has been agreed yet but there is confidence that a resolution can be found in this situation for a player who, based on previous comments, doesn't want to play in the Premier League anymore.
Werner's exit coupled with the potential departures of Hakim Ziyech of Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku already leaving could force Boehly into signing some new attackers.
The current focus is on the defensive rebuild, but the departure of the Blues' No.11 could mean that those plans are changed to the benefit of the attack, who continue to demonstrate their problems in pre-season.
