Chelsea will end the weekend in the top six after securing a 2-1 win over West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues were looking to improve on their defeat to Southampton in midweek, with Thomas Tuchel calling on his players to be tougher in difficult situations.
They did just that against the Hammers, though they may have done so with a stroke of luck in there too. In a tough test, the west London outfit struggled to get going and would find themselves one goal down just gone the hour mark, with Michail Antonio giving the travelling support something to cheer about.
Substitute Ben Chilwell changed the game for his side though, first finding the back of the net and then assisting Kai Havertz for the winner just minutes from the end. Maxwel Cornet appeared to break the hearts of the home contingent when he smashed home an injury time equaliser, however a controversial VAR decision saw the goal overturned.
