Chelsea's FIFA 23 ratings 'leaked' by EA including Kai Havertz, Reece James and N'Golo Kante

As FIFA 23's anticipated release gets closer and closer, there's always one topic that generates discussion across social media - player ratings.

With exactly two months to go until release, EA has stayed tight-lipped around any official ratings, seemingly until now. Posted on their Pitch Notes article, EA posted an 11-minute video detailing a deep dive into some of the new gameplay features players can expect to see in FIFA 23, including the new HyperMotion2 technology, defending, dribbling and shooting changes.

Within the video, EA appeared to release this image of the Chelsea squad from the menu of FIFA 23, showing off their player ratings. While it should be stressed that these ratings are not final and could potentially change in the future, there's a possibility that these will be the ratings for these players come the game's release in September.

Once again, it seems the Blues' highest-rated player is N'Golo Kante, although his rating has dropped by one overall to 89 rated. Kante has been Chelsea's highest-rated base player on FIFA since 2017. Players like Edouard Mendy, Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah have seen their base rating get bumped up by three points, whilst others like Mason Mount, Jorginho and Christian Pulisic have seen no change.

Following the Blues' season last year, which saw them win both the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup under Thomas Tuchel, as well as reaching the finals of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, it might come as a surprise to a few to see some of the squad's ratings go down. There are a few players whose ratings have dropped off, including Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Cesar Azpilicueta, as their ratings have apparently dropped by one overall.

These FIFA 23 Chelsea ratings might not be final, but they are different to FIFA 22. FIFA 23 is set to be released on Friday, September 27, 2022, so expect confirmation of the ratings closer to this date.
