Chelsea boss Graham Potter 'really likes' Tottenham star Harry Kane and could look to use Romelu Lukaku as part of a player plus cash swap.
The Blues brought Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge in a club record £98million deal last summer but the Belgian struggled under Thomas Tuchel. Lukaku was allowed to return to Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal this summer with Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Armando Broja the current options in attack for Chelsea.
Harry Kane pushed for a move away from Tottenham last summer but was unable to force through a move to Manchester City. Kane's goalscoring record would be a welcome addition to any team but the Blues are in desperate need of a striker that can see them compete with City and achieve success once again.

According to Calcio Mercato Web, Potter is a big fan of Kane and will attempt to lure him away from Spurs at the end of the season. Chelsea could look to offer Antonio Conte an opportunity to reunite with Lukaku, with the inclusion of a huge cash bid in the deal.
Potter may also look to add in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into any deal for Kane with the Chelsea boss seemingly having already made up his mind on the former Arsenal and Barcelona striker. Aubameyang was signed by the west Londoners on Deadline Day with Tuchel opting to pursue a deal for the 33-year-old over a move for Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
One issue that may hamper Chelsea's chances of pursuing a deal for Kane next summer is that Inter are said to have the option to extend Lukaku's stay at San Siro should they wish to keep him for a second season on-loan. This would likely see Aubameyang used instead in a player plus cash deal, though it remains to be seen whether Spurs would be open to bringing the Gabonese forward to the club after his previous spell with north London rivals Arsenal.
Another factor is if Kane is willing to potentially tarnish his Spurs legacy by swapping London clubs and moving to Stamford Bridge. The England captain was willing to join City in search of trophies, but he may be less inclined to move to a direct London rival.
Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in signing Kane with Sky Germany claiming the Bundesliga giants have been in contract with the Spurs striker's representatives. Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg told Sky Sports News: "I am totally convinced Harry Kane will become a very, very hot topic at Bayern Munich for the next transfer window. It depends on the strikers' performance this year.
"Bayern bosses have told them 'let’s see what happens'. We have [Sadio] Mane, we have [Kingsley] Coman, [Leroy] Sane, [Serge] Gnabry and so on."
