Kepa Arrizabalaga - Showed his first sign of fallibility in a while when he miscalculated a bounce and conceded a corner but moments later showed his quality when he closed down the angle on Marcus Rashford and smothered his shot. Showed good quality on the ball when closing down Antony to play out of danger with his defence. Close to pulling off a stunning save but could not keep Casemiro's header out. 7.
Trevoh Chalobah - Looked very solid and proactive in his defending throughout the game. Would have preferred to direct his header from a second-half corner on target but another promising match for the 23-year-old. 7.
Thiago Silva - Unsurprisingly the Brazilian looked comfortable when Chelsea had three and two central defenders and formed a solid partnership with Chalobah. 7.

Marc Cucurella - Had some shaky moments in the early stages of the game but settled down before being sacrificed in the opening half so Chelsea could change shape. 4.
Cesar Azpilicueta - A decent outing from the Spaniard who ensured Chelsea's right flank was solid. 6.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Continues to show promise carrying the ball forward and seems to play with more conviction each time he plays in the centre of the pitch. 6.
Jorginho - The Italian's vulnerabilities are well known but he showed what he was good at too, and perhaps should have looked to be more direct to bring the lines with his passing. Netted the crucial penalty to put Chelsea ahead with five minutes to go. 6.
Ben Chilwell - Put in some strong, physical challenges on Antony and was solid in his work up and down the left flank. 6.
Mason Mount - Provided some quality dipping crosses into the box but just couldn't connect with a Chelsea forward for much of the game. 6.
Piere Emerick Aubameyang - An industrious evening from the former Arsenal man, even if he couldn't quite get his feet right on occasion in the opposition box. 5.
Raheem Sterling - Not one of the England international's most successful games for Chelsea as he struggled to provide a regular threat. 5.
Substitutes
Mateo Kovacic - His introduction in the first period and Chelsea's change of shape allowed the Blues to exert much more control over proceedings. The Croatian showed some flashy touches and was a welcome presence. 7.
Christian Pulisic - Limited impact after heading on. 5.
Armando Broja - Earned Chelsea their late penalty when Scott McTominay wrapped his hands around the forward. 6.
Carney Chukwuemeka - Again utilised when Chelsea needed to find a goal and showed good ability when breaking out from his own half, but limited opportunity to impact the game. 6.
