Chelsea player ratings vs Leeds United as Wesley Fofana shines and Kai Havertz poor again

Kepa Arrizabalaga – Didn't have too much to do but whenever he was called upon, he looked calm and assured. 6.

Wesley Fofana – Should've done better with a header on 12 minutes after finding himself free from a corner. Fofana did, however, score in the early moments of the second half. The Frenchman did so well to climb above everyone. Great performance. 8.

Benoit Badiashile – Looked bright early on and was always on the front foot. Started as the left centre-back in a back-three and it looks to be a role that really suits the Frenchman. 6.

Kalidou Koulibaly – A couple of really strong and pivotal last-ditch tackles early on as Leeds applied pressure for the first time in the game. However, he continues to look shaky when in possession and it puts Stamford Bridge on edge. 5.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek – A couple of promising moments from the makeshift right wing-back. He does well at the start of the second-half to find Sterling. Solid performance. 6.

Enzo Fernandez – Played a delightful cross-field pass to Chilwell early on. Looked very tidy once again and often found space in between the Leeds midfield. 6.

Mateo Kovacic – Looked neat and tidy but never really made too much of an impression on Chelsea's attacking play. 6.

Ben Chilwell – Stayed really wide as a left wing-back and was a continuous option for Chelsea's defenders when in possession. Great cross from the corner to find Fofana. His delivery was good all game. 7.

Raheem Sterling – Typically bright and lively early on, trying to make something happen. Looked the most likely for Chelsea in the first-half. Misses a good chance at the start of the second period, but a strong display. 7.

Joao Felix – Chelsea thought they'd taken the lead just over the 20-minute mark after Felix smashed the crossbar with a fantastic effort. His usual lively self, with some magic touches. 6.

Kai Havertz – Misses an absolute sitter on around 15 minutes with his one-on-one denied by Illan Meslier. Needs to do better, once again. 4.

Substitutes:

Conor Gallagher – As always, offered Chelsea energy and seemed to be playing in a more attacking role than usual. 6.

Denis Zakaria – Looked solid. Nothing too much to report. 6.

Carney Chukwuemeka – Should do better when receiving the ball on a counter-attack on about 75 minutes. Didn't do too much. 5.

Trevoh Chalobah – N/A.

Noni Madueke – N/A.
