Chelsea player ratings vs FC Salzburg as Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz produce magic

Kepa Arrizabalaga - The Spaniard may feel that his distribution could have been better in Austria but was once again exemplary between the sticks. Did show one vulnerability in not claiming an aerial ball in the second period but his blushes were spared by Thiago Silva's reading of the situation. 6.

Trevoh Chalobah - Another solid night from the 23-year-old defender who may just be starting to give Gareth Southgate something serious to think about ahead of the World Cup. 7.

Thiago Silva - A generally consistent outing from the Brazilian but the veteran was made to pay when he looked to claim the ball and did not in the build up to Junior Adamu's goal. Prevented another goal when Kepa failed to claim the ball in the air. 6.
