After Everton fans set off fireworks outside the Chelsea team hotel on Saturday night, you may have expected the Blues to come out with extra motivation at Goodison Park on Saturday. But it was the relegation candidates who showed up instead.
A few eyebrows were raised when Chelsea legend Frank Lampard took on the job after Rafa Benitez was sacked and, based on the season so far, Saturday afternoon's clash should have resulted in a comfortable three points for the visitors. But Thomas Tuchel was instead left incredibly frustrated on the sidelines.
Richarlison scored the only goal of the game at the start of the second half, while an inspired Jordan Pickford kept the Blues at bay for the remainder of the game. With that in mind, football.london has rated the Chelsea players on their display.

Edouard Mendy
Mendy was completely untested in the first-half. His distribution was tidy enough, but overall, it was a relatively quiet game for the Senegalese shot-stopper. 6.
Cesar Azpilicueta
The Chelsea captain had a decent first-half, but the worst possible start to the second period. Azpilicueta was dispossessed by Richarlison, and the Brazilian slotted past Mendy. 5
Thiago Silva
Brilliant. Typically brilliant. There was a moment just before stoppage-time in the first-half where he came charging out to block a fierce strike from Abdoulaye Doucoure. The travelling Chelsea supporters couldn't stop singing his name. 7
Antonio Rudiger
His game sort of changed after he picked up an early yellow card. Rudiger couldn't be his typical aggressive self after that, but equally, he did nothing wrong on the right side of the back three. 6.
Reece James
He was unable to replicate the type of performance we saw from him on Thursday at Old Trafford. Seems like Everton did well to limit James to little of the ball. 6.
Marcos Alonso
Alonso has been one of Chelsea's main attacking outlets in recent games, but as they did with James, Everton restricted the Spaniard to precious little. 6.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Arguably Chelsea's best player over the 90 minutes. Loftus-Cheek was particularly good in the first-half with his trademark runs forward, starting a couple of counter-attacks for the Blues. 8
Jorginho
The Italian was unable to get into the game, really, despite Chelsea having plenty of possession in the first-half. Subbed at half-time for Mateo Kovacic. 5.
Mason Mount
Mount has been in fine form recently, but the Chelsea star was unable to get into the game at all. He hit both posts, in a really unfortunate fashion, in the second-half. 6.
Timo Werner
The German's impact on the game was very little. Difficult to think of too many times that he touched the ball. 5.
Kai Havertz
A few nice touches in the first-half, but like his German compatriot Werner, very little involvement at Goodison. 5.
Substitutions
Mateo Kovacic
Came on at half-time for Jorginho in the hope it would give Chelsea more legs. Kovacic was unable to provide that, though, really. One of his quieter games this season, but he has just returned from injury. 6.
Christian Pulisic
Chelsea brought him on in desperate need of a goal, but the American was unable to influence proceedings too much at Goodison. 6.
Hakim Ziyech
Came on at the same time as Pulisic and like his Chelsea colleague, found it tricky to impact the match. 6.
