Chelsea player ratings vs Arsenal: Robert Sanchez in terrible display as Marc Cucurella shuts down Bukayo Saka

Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk should have given Chelsea a win over Arsenal but a second half collapse saw the spoils shared.

Robert Sanchez's errant ball saw Declan Rice pull one back from 25 yards, with substitute Leandro Trossard equalising with a far-post finish from Bukayo Saka's cross.

The result was a disappointment for Chelsea who dominated most of the match only to collapse under late pressure as they tired and Mauricio Pochettino's substitutes failed to lift the team.

Chelsea should have been celebrating the best performance of the Boehly-Clearlake era but have left with a sense of what if.

Nizaar Kinsella witnessed the action from Stamford Bridge.

Robert Sanchez - 4

A terrible display which culminated in giving away the ball to Declan Rice to pull back a second half goal.

Malo Gusto - 5

Excellent in dealing with Martinelli but switched off to allow Leandro Trossard to equalise late on.

Thiago Silva - 8

Lifted the crowd with a full-blooded tackle on Gabriel Martinelli in the 24th minute. Almost flawless.

Levi Colwill - 7

Steadied himself after a poor early touch. A real class act.

Marc Cucurella - 8

Very physical in his battle with Bukayo Saka, exceptional in shutting down Arsenal's star man.

Enzo Fernandez - 6

Produced some nice touches without influencing the game as much as his partners.

Moises Caicedo - 8

Outfought Declan Rice as the destroyer in Chelsea's midfield.

Conor Gallagher - 8

The biggest attacking force among the midfield three, set up Mudryk's goal and almost set a second up for Palmer.

Raheem Sterling - 7

His cross led to Chelsea's early penalty shout and was a great outlet all afternoon.

Cole Palmer - 8

Slotted his penalty cooly past David Raya by sending him the wrong way, excellent as a false 9.

Mykhailo Mudryk - 8

Helped to win the penalty with his clever run into the box and scored, albeit from a cross, but they all count.

Substitutes

Nicolas Jackson - 5

Wasted a one-on-one soon after coming on.

Reece James - 6

Didn't get many touches playing out on the right wing.

Noni Madueke - 4

Didn't help Cucurella to stop Saka's late cross for the equalised.

Unused subs: Petrovic; Maatsen, Badiashile, Disasi; Ugochukwu; Washington.
