Chelsea player ratings vs Arsenal: No plan, no fight and no hope as Blues humiliated in derby

Chelsea were blown away in a 5-0 defeat to title chasers Arsenal in a major blow to their hopes of European qualification.

Leandro Trossard struck a shot through Djordje Petrovic to open the scoring early on and Ben White added a scruffy second just after half-time.

Kai Havertz sealed victory with two second-half goals, soaking in the adulation against his former club. White’s cross found the net minutes later.

It leaves the Blues 30 points behind table-toppers Arsenal and ninth in the table after a truly miserable night.

Nizaar Kinsella was at Stamford Bridge to witness the demolition job.

Djordje Petrovic - 5

The Serb saw a low strike go through his legs after just four minutes but was very busy and made several sensational saves despite the scoreline.

Alfie Gilchrist - 4

The 20-year-old faced a baptism of fire on his Premier League debut and was at fault for the first goal.

Axel Disasi - 4

The defender was caught on his heels from a flick-on and missed a chance to equalise midway through the first half.

Benoit Badiashile - 4

Badiashile produced the flick-on to create Disasi’s chance but wasn’t solid defensively and was at fault for Havertz's second

Marc Cucurella - 4

Bukayo Saka had the beating of Cucurella, who seemed distracted by arguing with officials. Poor for Havertz and White's second goals.

Moises Caicedo - 5

The best of the three midfielders and made one crucial interception to stop a tap-in, but was still overrun by a world-class Declan Rice in particular.

Enzo Fernandez - 4

He scuffed a chance wide, got booked and played White on for his goal.

Conor Gallagher - 4

The midfielder produced a good cross early on but got caught in possession a lot as Chelsea lost the midfield battle.

Noni Madueke - 4

Dangerous on the transition and created the best chance of the game but left Gilchrist badly exposed defensively.

Nicolas Jackson - 5

Impressive until he reached the penalty area. Finishing once again let him down.

Mykhailo Mudryk - 4

Predictably poor tactically and needed to be coached through the game by Pochettino.

Substitutes

Trevoh Chalobah - 5

He could not do much after coming on and the goals kept flowing.

Raheem Sterling - 5

The 29-year-old will have been angry not to start but produced just a tame free-kick.

Cesare Casadei - 5

The Italian at least didn’t see Chelsea concede while on the pitch.

Thiago Silva - 6

The 39-year-old came on to try to stop the rout as Chelsea’s turned into a back five.

Unused subs Silva, Bettinelli, Chukwuemeka, Washington, Tauriainen, Dyer
