Chelsea penalty takers vs Liverpool as FA Cup Final goes the same way as Carabao Cup Final

It looks as though we could be heading to penalties in the FA Cup final following a stalemate after 105 minutes. Five penalty takers are set to step up from twelve yards, just like the Carabao Cup final in February, but who might Thomas Tuchel look to this time round?

Unless a goal is scored in the second period of extra-time, we will witness a second penalty shootout between these clubs for the second time in a matter of months. Liverpool won that encounter in the Carabao Cup final 11-10, but let's remind ourselves of who stepped up for Chelsea on that day.

The Blues' first five options didn't make a mistake last time out, as Marcos Alonso, Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz, Reece James and regular penalty taker Jorginho slotted their efforts past Caoimhin Kelleher. That's set to be different today, however, as Lukaku was substituted and Havertz was unavailable after suffering a hamstring injury.

To make things slightly more difficult for Chelsea, Alisson Becker will be in goal for the spot kicks this time around, as second choice Kelleher is on the bench.

The Blues will be looking to avenge their misfortune in February and bring home the FA Cup for the first time since 2018. They've lost the last two finals to Arsenal and Leicester respectively and they won't want it to extend that record this time out.

Let's see what happens...
