Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly slammed his side’s draw with Everton as a “s*** f***ing game” as they dropped two vital points late on.
The Blues were seemingly en route to victory in west London against the Merseysiders after Joao Felix and Kai Havertz scored either side of Abdoulaye Doucoure’s equaliser. However, they were denied in the 89th minute of the clash as young forward Josh Simms guided home an excellent second for Sean Dyche’s side.
The draw left Chelsea 10th in the Premier League standings, their hopes of a European finish dealt another big blow. They could have cut the gap to fourth-placed Tottenham to nine points with victory.
Blues owner Boehly let his frustration show after the match as he was caught on camera. In a video shared to social media, the American billionaire said “s*** f***ing game” in response to a supporter.
Sandwiched by two security guards, Boehly then continued to walk away from Stamford Bridge. His frustration is likely to be shared by fans and Chelsea boss Graham Potter alike.
Giving his verdict on the draw, the ex-Brighton schemer said: “We’re really disappointed because we’ve dropped two points at home. We wanted to win and you saw the intention of the team.

“There was a lot of positive things in the performance but ultimately we’ve not defended well enough and to concede two goals, it’s not easy to win the game. That’s the disappointing thing for us.”
Opening up on the feelings within the dressing room, he added: “The boys are disappointed. I will keep the conversation private but the boys were frustrated because they put a lot into the game and wanted to win.
“As I said, performance-wise, it was quite strong but we’re really frustrated because we can’t concede the goals we did and expect to win games.”
The Blues will take a break for the upcoming international break, when a number of players will fly to all corners of the globe. They will then refocus on the final third of the campaign as they attempt to secure a place in Europe, alongside their fight to win the Champions League for the third time.
The first game after the international break pits Chelsea against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge, whilst they have been drawn to face Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals. Should they find a route past Los Blancos, they will face either Bayern Munich or Premier League rivals Manchester City in the next round.
A strong run in Europe would go some way to making up for what could be one of Chelsea’s lowest-ever finishes in the Premier League during Boehly’s first season at the helm.
