William Gallas has encouraged Todd Boehly to sign Harry Kane in the summer, claiming that the Tottenham star is the 'perfect' option for Chelsea. The 29-year-old faces an increasingly uncertain future at Spurs after he recently entered the final 14 months of his contract.
Kane is yet to pen a new deal with the north London outfit and numerous top European clubs are said to be keeping tabs on his situation. Prior to Fabio Paratici taking an immediate leave of absence, football.london understood that he had been in contact with the England international's entourage to discuss fresh terms.
However, as it stands, formal discussions have not yet begun. Contrary to popular belief, it's believed that the striker is open to discussing an extension but, amid plenty of uncertainty regarding the club's future, he's been urged to join Chelsea.

In an interview with Genting Casino, Gallas claimed that Kane has a far better chance of winning the Premier League if he puts pen to paper on a deal with the Blues. The former Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham defender said: "What Chelsea need is a striker, a world-class one.
"I hope Chelsea find the right striker, I’m sure on the market there will be options – Harry Kane is one. I know it will be hard because unfortunately Chelsea won’t be in the Champions League, but he will have a better chance of winning the Premier League. If they are looking for a striker, Kane is perfect but I don’t think Daniel Levy will sell to Chelsea. He would put the price very high."
With plenty of speculation around Kane's future, Florent Malouda has also encouraged the striker to 'forget rivalries' and lead a trophy charge in west London next season.
Speaking to DAZN Bet, the Frenchman said: "Chelsea should definitely join the race for Harry Kane. Kane is a world-class player who knows the Premier League, and it is an era where Chelsea need a striker with his goalscoring record and the ambition to win trophies.
"If Kane ever leaves Tottenham, it will be because of the lack of trophies. Kane would be a great signing, but I’d be surprised if he left Tottenham for Chelsea because of the rivalry.
"It’s not like leaving Tottenham for Arsenal, but to leave Tottenham for Chelsea, I’d be surprised but anything is possible. He’s a great option for any club in the Premier League, and for Chelsea he’d be a great pick."
