Chelsea arrange work permit for wonderkid
Andrey Santos looks set to play a key role for Chelsea until at least the end of the season. According to UOL, the Blues are looking to get the 18-year-old midfielder a work permit as soon as possible amid plans to integrate him into the first-team.
Santos, who joined the west Londoners from Vasco in the summer for around £20.2million, has impressed for Brazil Under-20 this month in the South American Championship, scoring three goals in three games. But, the report states that securing a work permit could prove to be an issue.
A player needs to achieve a certain number of points to qualify for a work permit in the UK. Chelsea will need to ask for an exception if Santos does not automatically qualify for a permit.

Carragher and Merson agree on Jorginho verdict
Jamie Carragher and Paul Merson believe that Jorginho is set to hand Arsenal a huge boost in the race for the Premier League title. Speaking to Sky Sports, former Liverpool defender Carragher said: "They have a problem in midfield. So far they have been fortunate that the two main guys [in midfield] have played all season without being injured.
"They needed to bring someone in and they were going for Caicedo but they cannot get that one done at Brighton, so they have had to look at other players. Jorginho is interesting and I can understand it."
Meanwhile, Merson added: "I think outstanding [deal for Arsenal], I think outstanding, you're buying experience as well, you know he's experienced and he's won big trophies. He is a proper holding midfield player, we were only talking about two years ago when they [Chelsea] won the Champions League, Italy won the Euros, we're going 'why don't England produce one of these players."
Enzo Fernandez transfer secured
Chelsea have finally reached an agreement with Benfica over the club-record signing of Enzo Fernandez, football.london understands.
The two clubs have been locked in talks throughout deadline day over a deal for the Argentine, which is understood to be worth in excess of £105million. The structure of the payments was the sticking point but after tense negotiations which involved co-controlling Behdad Eghbali, Chelsea have finally clinched a deal for the midfielder.
Fernandez will become Chelsea's club-record purchase; his deal eclipses the £97.5million paid to Inter Milan for Romelu Lukaku in the summer of 2021. The World Cup winner also becomes the most expensive Premier League signing, a record previously held by Jack Grealish (£100million).
