Chelsea news: Tammy Abraham 'wants Blues return' as Inter agree on Romelu Lukaku future

Chelsea allowed Tammy Abraham to leave the club in the summer and join Italian side Roma, where he has thrived under the guidance of former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

However, a return could be on the cards according to reports in Italy.

Should he return to the club after a short stint in Serie A, that could have no impact on the future of Romelu Lukaku who is desperate to stay at Stamford Bridge and get better.

While a supercomputer has predicted whether or not the reigning UEFA Champions League holders can keep hold of their trophy and retain it this season.

Should Chelsea start Romelu Lukaku against Liverpool on Sunday? Let us know in the comments section below!

Abraham's Chelsea return

Tammy Abraham's stellar debut season in Serie A has not prevented him from wanting to return to Chelsea just months after leaving Stamford Bridge.

The England international has been extremely successful with Roma, scoring 18 goals in 34 games under former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

But according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Abraham is eyeing a return to England.

He told Pro Direct Soccer earlier this season: “Sometimes I get homesick, which is tough, but I’m here for a reason: to do a job. I knew there’d be a point where I’d have to leave Chelsea and go out and explore."

Lukaku wants Blues stay

It's fair to say Romelu Lukaku's Chelsea return hasn't gone according to plan.

Despite scoring in his debut against Liverpool, the Belgian has struggled to replicate the form which saw Thomas Tuchel prise him away from Inter Milan in the summer.

A record-low seven touches against Crystal Palace has highlighted just how out of form the former Manchester United striker is at the moment.

But despite that, it is believed Lukaku wants to turn things around in west London and Inter have no plans to bring him back to Serie A.

Chelsea's Champions League odds

UEFA Champions League holders Chelsea are not the favourites to win this year's competition, according to a supercomputer.

FiveThirtyEight has predicted that runners-up Man City have the best percentage chance of lifting the trophy in May.

Thomas Tuchel's side got the better of City last season but only have a 10% chance of repeating the feat this season.

Chelsea will take a 2-0 lead into their second-leg fixture against Lille next month.
