Todd Boehly prepares Pochettino gift
Chelsea could sign up to six new players this summer, according to The Times.
The report claims the Blues' transfer business will depend on the number of players that leave the club. It's understood that Mauricio Pochettino's priority will be to trim down the bloated squad.
French clubs targeting Mendy
Ligue 1 sides AS Monaco and OGC Nice are set to battle it out for Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The showstopper is expected to leave the Blues this summer after three years. Kepa Arrizabalaga was preferred by Graham Potter and Frank Lampard last season, though a new goalkeeper is said to be on Pochettino's radar.
Newcastle pushing for Barella
Newcastle United are reportedly pushing hard to sign Chelsea transfer target and Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle are pushing hard to bring the Italy international to St James' Park in a deal worth around £50million. The report claims that the Magpies have designated the majority of their transfer budget on improving Eddie Howe's midfield this summer.
Barella and Leicester City's James Maddison are said to be their top two targets. Upon their return to the Champions League, a new number six is at the top of their list to allow Bruno Guimaraes to push further forward.
