Chelsea are back in Premier League action on this weekend after securing their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Graham Potter's side, who are unbeaten since his appointment last month, defeated Red Bull Salzburg 2-1 in Austria on Tuesday evening to seal their European fate with a game to spare. Goals from Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz did the business for the Blues.
Chelsea's opponents on Saturday afternoon are Brighton, with Potter heading back to the Amex for the first time since his move to Stamford Bridge. Here are the latest headlines from West London - including some interesting comments from Bruno Guimaraes.
Chelsea suffer transfer blow
As alluded to, Guimaraes has discussed his Newcastle future amid rumours Chelsea and Real Madrid are interested in signing him. The Brazil international, 24, has scored seven goals in 26 Premier League games for the Magpies since his arrival in January.
Yet Guimaraes insists he wants to stay at St James' Park. "I feel at home," the midfielder told Sky Sports. "The experience I’ve had here has been amazing. Yes, sometimes it can be difficult to leave the house because everybody recognises me!
"But they [the fans] are always so friendly, so loving, not just with me but with everyone in my family. It’s always nice when there are teams looking at you, but my plan is just to do my best at Newcastle. The rest, I leave with my agent.

"I have three or four years of contract left. It’s so long. I swear I’m not thinking about other things. My focus now is just on Newcastle and the World Cup. There is a long way to go. I love playing here, I love to bond with the fans, and I want to become a legend here."

Liverpool almost signed Chilwell
Ben Chilwell has done well for the Blues since his £50million move from Leicester in August 2020, playing 66 games and winning the Champions League. Yet things could've been very different, as the left-back was in talks with one of Chelsea's rivals six years ago.
Liverpool were after Chilwell's signature, but decided against the move when the Foxes slapped a £10m price tag on him. It all worked out for the best, though, as the Englishman joined Chelsea, Liverpool signed Andy Robertson and Leicester made a huge profit.
"My agent was the one dealing with it all, talking to Liverpool and Leicester about the situation," said Chilwell in 2019. "At the time, I was trying to break into the U21 team at Leicester - so I was just focused on getting into that and progressing into the first team."
