Chelsea news: Cristiano Ronaldo sends N'Golo Kante message amid Kai Havertz transfer twist

Here is your Chelsea morning roundup on Sunday, June 18.

Ronaldo message

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he initially struggled to acclimatise to the intense heat and different training schedules in Saudi Arabia following his departure from Manchester United. Several top players from across Europe have been heavily linked with moves to the Middle East this summer, including N'Golo Kante.

With Saudi Arabia looking to get their hands on more of Europe's big names, a few other Chelsea stars could be tempted by the lucrative deals which are being dished out. But, Ronaldo has warned anybody who decides to follow him must be prepared for the climate shift.

"The biggest difference I have found in Saudi is obviously the heat and adapting schedules to train later in the day when it is cooler," the Portugal international told LiveScore. "But I have really gotten used to that now. The fans here have been incredible to me, welcoming me, and those that follow me to continue on this amazing journey."

United plan

Chelsea are set to face a 'take it or leave it' transfer offer from Manchester United for Mason Mount in the coming days. It comes as the future of the Cobham Academy graduate hangs in the balance, with just the one-year remaining on his contract at the club.

The Blues currently value the 24-year-old midfielder at £70million, which may be a difficult fee to reach for clubs when considering the time left on his deal. United made an opening bid at £40million earlier in the window, which was promptly turned down from Chelsea as they held out for more.

But their old foe may have drawn the line with a clear ultimatum to the west London club over whether a deal will be agreed or not. That's because, according to the Mirror, United are preparing an offer they have declared the final one, prompting Chelsea to either take it or leave it.

Havertz twist

Arsenal's approach for Chelsea star Kai Havertz appears to be gathering some pace as the north London outfit make moves towards landing the 24-year-old this summer. The Germany international has just two years left on his deal with the Blues and like some of his peers, faces an ultimatum of signing a new one or potentially leaving.

The Telegraph reports that Arsenal have made their first move by making an opening bid, one that has been rejected by their London rivals. It is also claimed that Havertz's personal terms will be no issue for the Gunners to match, though it remains to be seen if a second offer will be made.

They won't be the only side interested though as the Daily Mail claims that former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is eyeing a reunion with the forward at Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are looking for a new striker option, with the ex-Blues manager looking to raid his old team.
