Chelsea could lose another key player and repeat the same mistake they've made with Antonio Rudiger.
The German defender is said to be close to agreeing a deal to join Real Madrid when his current deal at Stamford Bridge runs out in the summer. And Los Blancos are now said to be also eying a move for Blues full-back Reece James and deal a huge blow to Thomas Tuchel's side.
It comes as transfer target Declan Rice has declared he is ready for 'so much more' amid reports linking him with a summer move back to Stamford Bridge. And Todd Boehly's consortium have been told the next steps in their bid to buy the club after being told they have been given preferred bidder status by the Raine Group.

Takeover next steps
The Todd Boehly-led consortium now have a short window to secure the purchase of Chelsea after being told they have been given preferred bidder status.
It comes after Sir Jim Ratcliffe made a dramatic late £4.25billion bid to purchase the Stamford Bridge outfit. That has ramped up the pressure on the Boehly consortium to get their deal over the line as they now aim to get a purchase agreement signed.
But Ratcliffe clearly still believes his group is well in the race and have got a chance of purchasing the club instead.
Rice ready for 'more'
Chelsea target Declan Rice has said he is ready for "so much more" after being linked with a summer return to Stamford Bridge.
The West Ham United midfielder has become one of the best central midfielders in the country after being let go by the Blues academy as a youngster. The great strides he has made in east London have led to him being linked with a move away from the Hammers, with Premier League rivals Manchester United also thought to be interested in sealing his signature.
And after finishing third in the Football Writers’ Association’s Player of the Year award for the 2021/22 season, Rice has insisted there's still plenty to come from him.
Rudiger mistake could be repeated
Real Madrid could follow-up their interest in Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger by making an incredible swoop for Reece James.
The Blues are set to lose influential centre-back Rudiger when his contract expires this summer, and James could soon follow him out of the club. Reports suggest a 'host' of teams are keen to sign the Chelsea full-back but Madrid are at the front of the queue.
But Thomas Tuchel is said to be ready to put up a 'fight' to keep the player at the club.
