Chelsea has offered Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović an €80 million offer as the team makes him its top priority of the summer, ESPN’s Julien Laurens reports.
Vlahović spent the last year and a half with Juventus following a four-year stint with Fiorentina in Serie A. The Serbian left Fiorentina for Juventus in January 2022 for €81.6 million, and he has three years remaining on his deal.
Over the past year, Vlahović totaled 10 goals in Serie A to lead Juventus and had 14 total goals in all competitions. Since joining Juventus, he has 23 goals in all competitions for the club, and he has produced at least 10 goals in each of the past three Serie A seasons.
Juventus has been dealing with controversy, as it is appealing a 15-point penalty that will decide its standing in the Champions League. Amid the penalty, Vlahović is reportedly unhappy with his current club, which is why he may be interested in a transfer.
Chelsea currently sits in in 12th place in the Premier League standings with 43 points as the season winds down, a year after finishing in third place with 74 points. This will be the first year Chelsea doesn’t finish in the top five since the 2015-16 season, and it marks the club’s lowest finish in 27 years.
