Chelsea go midfielder shopping
With an injury to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Thomas Tuchel's midfield options were depleted even more, and Chelsea finally turned their attention to the middle of the park.
With injuries to Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante alongside Jorginho's exposed weaknesses, Tuchel has struggled to get going in midfield this season but has found two possible targets late in the window.

The Dutch Telegraph are reporting that a £43m bid has been tabled for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez, whilst also saying that there is interest in PSV player Ibrahim Sangare.
Chelsea don't have long to complete a deal for either player, and the option to bring both of them in is unlikely.
Aubameyang deal enters final stages
If Chelsea are to get their first choice forward across the line, then it will be going down to the wire as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future hangs in the balance.
The forward is the subject of intense transfer talk between Chelsea and Barcelona, with a deal still not being agreed between the sides. Chelsea are trying desperately to include Marcos Alonso in the deal, lowering the cash sum, which Barcelona have priced at £25m. However, it is not helping the situation as the two parties remain apart on valuation.
With Chelsea still keen on the player and personal terms being agreed, it is a move that looks likely to head into the final hours of the window.
Wesley Fofana signs
Chelsea have announced the signing of Wesley Fofana for a reported £69.5m, with add-ons likely to take the final sum closer to £75m, still below a world record fee for a defender.
The Blues had agreed a deal with Leicester over the weekend and sent the 21-year-old to America for his medical with Tuchel's third defender also training with his new teammates yesterday.
Fofana's addition takes the total summer spending over £200m for Todd Boehly as he signs on a seven-year deal.
