Graham Potter could soon lose leverage in Chelsea's mission to sign Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo. The Brighton duo have been heavily linked with following their former boss to Stamford Bridge lately as the 47-year-old looks to stamp his philosophy on the Blues.
According to Journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the west Londoners could accelerate a move to sign Trossard after keeping a close eye on him in recent weeks. The report adds that the Belgium international impressed higher-ups at Chelsea during the Seagulls' win at the weekend, and because of this, they could be tempted into tabling an offer earlier than previously planned.
Meanwhile, with regard to Caicedo, the 20-year-old has admitted that he would like to reunite with Potter at Chelsea one day. The Blues are believed to be interested in the midfielder amid the increasingly uncertain futures of N'Golo Kante and Jorginho, who see their respective deals expire at the end of the season.

However, while a double raid of Brighton could be on the cards, it seems that loanee Levi Colwill doesn't give Chelsea as much leverage as he once did. According to The Athletic, Roberto De Zerbi wants to sign Mykola Matviyenko.
The 26-year-old is a left-sided centre-half - the position where Colwill impressed while on loan at Huddersfield Town last season. If the Seagulls sign the Ukraine international, then the Cobham graduate could become an undesirable signing and, therefore, lose the Blues' leverage over any potential deal.
Colwill, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2025, featured 29 times for Huddersfield in the Championship last season while on loan. His impressive performances booked the Terriers a place in the play-off final against Nottingham Forest - though, unfortunately for the defender, the Yorkshire-based side fell at the final hurdle.
Despite Colwill's misfortune at Wembley, Chelsea were said to be 'so impressed' with the youngster's development, according to Goal. The report adds that it was expected that the England youth international would be integrated into the Blues' first-team upon his return from loan at the John Smith's Stadium. But that didn't happen, and the west Londoners signed Wesley Fofana instead.
