Chelsea legend John Terry sends Frank Lampard four word message after what Spurs did to Everton

Chelsea legend John Terry has sent a worrying four word message to Everton and their manager Frank Lampard after Spurs' dominance in the first half of their Premier League encounter.

The blue side of Merseyside travelled down to the capital looking to rectify their woeful away form that has dragged them into this relegation dog fight but it was evident that not much was likely to change after the first 45 minutes.

A Michael Keane own goal coupled with strikes from Heung Min-Son and Harry Kane rounded off what was a terrible first half for Lampard's men who were sleep walking towards another defeat in north London.

Despite an upturn in form at home, and especially in the FA Cup, away form remains a consistent problem for Lampard and his assistants Joe Edwards and Ashley Cole who all have a big task ahead of them if they are to move the club back towards safety in the Premier League.

Away form was an issue highlighted by Jamie Carragher pre-game who didn't blame Lampard for this alone with performances away from Goodison Park a big problem under Rafa Benitez too.

"But the big problem for them is the away form and this goes back way before Frank Lampard was in charge, it goes back a long time. But Frank’s two away games do not look good," Carragher said on Monday Night Football.

"They have not played the big hitters, but have played both Newcastle and Southampton. You could argue when looking at the expected goals and they are a little unlucky, but their away form has to improve quickly if they are to get away from the relegation zone."

Carragher then went on to label much of the Everton defence as 'Championship' level and made a point that was echoed by what Terry tweeted on Twitter.

Whilst saying during half-time that it could end in a six-goal margin for Antonio Conte's side, Terry took to social media to reiterate the message to former teammate and good friend Lampard, who has a big conundrum ahead of him going forward for the rest of the season.

On his personal Twitter account @JohnTerry26, he sent a four word message to Lampard and Everton fans who will be bitterly disappointed with how proceedings in the opening 45 minutes unfolded.

He tweeted: 'This could be 6….'

It wasn't all doom and gloom though from the legendary centre-half as he said in a separate tweet: 'Big team talk needed here, expecting a big response from Everton in the second half, the next goal decides the game.'

And that goal came seconds after half-time as Dejan Kulusevski's cross bypassed the back four for substitute Sergio Reguilon to tuck home at the far post.

Kane then overtook Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the Premier League all-time goal scorers chart with a volley in the 54th minute and moved one goal behind Lampard in the process- not a good night at all for the Chelsea club legend.
