Chelsea join Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid in race to sign 'next Ronaldo'

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick in the aftermath of a spectacular bicycle kick scored by the teenager recently.

Only 15, Endrick is already attracting attention from some of Europe's biggest sides, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid, as well as the Blues.

Just this Wednesday the attacker scored a frankly ludicrous bicycle kick for the Brazilian giants, finding the top corner with the acrobatic effort from the edge of the penalty area, seemingly catching the eye of Thomas Tuchel and co.

Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol broke the story on The Transfer Show, also stating that the youngster has been compared to past Brazilian legends.

"Endrick is a 15-year-old who is described as the future of Brazilian football. He's been described as the next Romario, the next Ronaldo," he said.

"He's scored some incredible goals, and plays for Palmeiras at the moment. Barcelona scouts were watching him on Wednesday night. He scored an incredible overhead goal - and he's playing with guys at least five years older than him.

"My understanding is Barca are very interested in signing him, but it's going to be difficult to get him because three clubs are really after him - Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

"He turns 16 in July, which is when he can sign a contract."

His viral goal came in an under-20 tournament for Palmeiras, with Oeste the opponents forced to watch on in awe as the ball looped into the net.

The youngster has reportedly scored 165 goals in 169 goals at youth level, as stated by GiveMeSport, so it is easy to see why so many of Europe's elite are trying to sign him.

With the likes of Reece James, Mason Mount, Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi stepping up from the academy to the first team, Chelsea could be an attractive prospect to Endrick when picking his new club.
