Chelsea join Arsenal in Cody Gakpo transfer race as Premier League side eye Armando Broja deal

Chelsea are set for a huge summer ahead. Thomas Tuchel is preparing to make some additions to his squad in the transfer market, having to rebuild after a number of players look set to leave.

Antonio Rudiger has already confirmed his move to Real Madrid as a free agent, while Andreas Christensen is reportedly set to follow him to Spain, but with rivals Barcelona. It leaves a hole in the German coach's team that needs filling, along with other positions that need strengthening for the next campaign.

With Todd Boehly's takeover of the Blues confirmed, Tuchel can finally get to work on making moves for his transfer targets for the summer. Several players have been linked, and with that in mind, football.london has taken a look at the latest names to be linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

Cody Gakpo race

Chelsea are eyeing a move for PSV winger Cody Gakpo this summer, according to CaughtOffside. The 23-year-old has impressed this season, scoring 12 and assisting 13 in 27 Eredivisie appearances.

The Blues aren't alone in their interest, though, as the report adds that London rivals Arsenal are eyeing a move too, creating a potential race for his signature.

Premier League side eye Armando Broja

Nottingham Forest are considering a move for Chelsea forward Armando Broja, according to the Nottingham Post. The East Midlands outfit are the latest side to earn promotion from the Championship, with the Albania international viewed as an option to strengthen their squad for a top-flight campaign.

The Blues are said to be unlikely to sell the striker, meaning a loan deal is more likely.

Manchester United's Mason Mount move

Manchester United are monitoring a shock move for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, according to The Sun. The England international has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, leaving uncertainty surrounding his future.

New Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is believed to be an admirer of Mount, eyeing a transfer if he is available to leave.
