Chelsea injury update: Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly and Mason Mount latest news and return dates

A number of Chelsea players have been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Reece James and Mason Mount are the latest names to be added to the Blues’ long-term injury list, although their large squad is certainly not short of replacements.

Kalidou Koulibaly is also fighting to play again before the summer although there is better news after Frank Lampard’s update on Kai Havertz’s condition.

Chelsea face Arsenal this week with Marc Cucurella another set to miss out.

Here is your latest update of Chelsea injuries and return dates...

Kai Havertz

After two games out, Havertz will return to the Chelsea squad to face Arsenal on Tuesday.

Lampard has confirmed the striker as “in contention” following his recovery from a knee issue.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Chelsea are fighting against the clock to get Koulibaly back before the end of the campaign.

A hamstring issue had made it a “tight” call on the final six games of the Blues’ season, the manager said on Monday.

Mason Mount

A pubic bone injury has continually hampered Mount’s efforts to play in the second half of the season and he is unlikely to feature again before the summer.

The midfielder has elected to undergo surgery in a bid to finally rid his body of the pain.

Reece James

A miserable season in terms of injuries for James is now officially over.

After suffering a fresh hamstring complaint in the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, Lampard has confirmed he will not be risked again until pre-season.

Marc Cucurella

Chelsea aim to have Cucurella back in the next fortnight, according to Lampard.

That means he is looking at a return around the time of his side’s trip to Manchester City on May 21.

Marcus Bettinelli

An unspecified injury has kept Bettinelli on the sidelines recently.

Not much is known about the issue, but Edouard Mendy has been back to take the goalkeeper’s spot on the bench in the meantime.

Armando Broja

A knee injury suffered during the World Cup break will keep Broja out of action until the summer.

Surgery was required on the young striker’s issue, who is aiming to get back in action in pre-season.
