Chelsea have already been told why they must sign wantaway Bayern Munich star ahead of Barcelona

Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule is set to leave the Bundesliga giants in the summer transfer window after refusing a new contract, according to reports.

As per Goal, the centre-back will leave the German giants this summer when his contract expires, despite Bayern’s offer to raise his salary to €10 million.

The report adds that Sule is flirting with a move to the Premier League and La Liga, with Barcelona, Chelsea and Newcastle all interested in his servives.

He's free to enter negotiations with other clubs this month before completing a free transfer at the end of the season.

Sule, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea for some time now, may actually end up being brought in as Andreas Christensen's replacement at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern are said to be interested in signing the Dane who also has just six months left on his current deal.

As both are incredibly talented players, Thomas Tuchel may secretly be hoping that the pair play alongside each other next season as oppose to effectively swapping places.

Nevertheless, if it's a case of one or the other, Sule's current boss, Julian Naglesmann, has already hinted at why he would be a superb signing for the Blues.

“I know he has unbelievable qualities and a lot of potential, which we try to bring out every day,” said current Bayern boss Nagelsmann, via the Chelsea Chronicle.

“He’s played at the very top level in Europe and is developing fantastically."

Sule's been around for a while now and having won a number of trophies at the top level, he would fit Chelsea's mould of signing a player who is ready-made.
