Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Monday, January 31.
Chelsea handed Jules Kounde boost
Chelsea have been handed a boost in their long-term pursuit of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde having failed with a £68m move in the summer.
The Blues are set to revive their interest at the end of the season and, due to the Spanish side's financial situation, could now land the Frenchman for a reduced fee.
Sevilla blocked the 23-year-old from a move last year, much to his annoyance, but are unlikely to stand in his way at the end of the season and, crucially, a fee of £40m has been muted.
Thomas Tuchel side's need for defensive reinforcement this year is highlighted by the contract situations of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta, all of whom see their deals expire this summer.
Bayern Munich eye Ziyech
Bayern Munich are targeting a late swoop in the transfer market to land Hakim Ziyech, Fichajes states, in a loan deal until the end of the season.
The Moroccan has endured a difficult stint in England since his arrival from Ajax but retains suitors on the continent, with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund all touted for his services - though none of the trio are likely to make a move.
In regards to Bayern, however, it's suggested a late swoop could be possible, with a deal including an option for a permanent switch at the end of the campaign.
Ousmane Dembele bid considered
Ousmane Dembele is the big name to watch on transfer deadline day as Barcelona have made it abundantly clear they want him to leave, after he rejected a new contract, and a number of clubs have been touted with his services.
Among them are Chelsea, with reports stating that the Blues are looking to make a 'fresh approach' to land the Frenchman.
London rivals Tottenham have also been attributed with links, amid reports they have been offered the player's services, and a huge fight could emerge late in the window.
