Chelsea handed huge boost in Neymar pursuit as PSG make key decision on Brazilian's future

PSG have reportedly made a decision over the future of Neymar during the summer transfer window. It comes amid links with a move to Chelsea, among a number of other high-profile clubs.

For the Blues, the market provides a potentially huge turning point for Thomas Tuchel. A number of key players have already left the club and the German coach is tasked with refreshing his squad.

The forward line is a place of particular interest, having struggled to find the back of the net on a consistent basis last campaign. This was only emphasised when club-record signing Romelu Lukaku failed to live up to the heights expected of his move.

New owner Todd Boehly is believed to have pledged at least £200million for incoming transfers this summer, giving plenty for Tuchel to use. A number of players have been linked with a move to west London, from Raheem Sterling and Raphinha to Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

And it’s the latter that appears to be available this summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG have decided to let the Brazilian leave the club as they begin a rebuild of their own.

Neymar has previously worked under Tuchel in their time in the French capital, so the manager knows exactly what he is capable of. However, the Blues are yet to make an official move for the forward.
