Chelsea have been handed a significant boost ahead of their Club World Cup final with boss Thomas Tuchel having arrived in Abu Dhabi.
The Blues boss was originally forced to miss out on the trip having tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of their flight out to Dubai.
However, the German has now flown to the country and depending on continued negative tests for the virus, he will be able to be on the sidelines for the Blues' clash with Brazilian outfit.
It also means that he will be able to provide some time for his squad ahead of the game - something that could be crucial as Chelsea aim to seal yet another piece of silverware since his arrival just over a year ago.
Ahead of the case, there was a hopeful sense of optimism that Tuchel could potentially be present.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference, assistant Zsolt Low said: “We hope he can come.
“We have 30 hours to the game. He follows the rules and protocols. Still a lot of time. We hope he can come but if not we are well prepared, we have a lot of meetings.
“We talk about the game, we analyse the game and see what we can do better. We're absolutely clear what to do better in the second game.”
With the news now being confirmed that Tuchel is in Abu Dhabi, Chelsea fans have been giving their thoughts and most are hugely pleased.
Chelsea tackle Brazilian outfit Palmeiras on Saturday afternoon as they aim to seal their first FIFA Club World Cup title in their history.
They managed to reach the final courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Al-Hilal earlier in the week.
Their only other appearance in the final ended in defeat at the hands of Corinthians.
