Thiago Silva has been included in Chelsea’s travelling party for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against AC Milan.
The Blues confirmed the 22 players on the plane to Italy with the Brazilian defender a doubt after suffering from illness over the weekend, which ruled him out of the 3-0 win over Wolves.
“Thiago had a heavy cold at the start of the week but played against Milan [last week],” Chelsea boss Graham Potter told reporters after the game.
“Two days to recover is really short for him, so we didn’t want to take the chance there.”
N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech and Wesley Fofana all miss the trip while recovering from injury problems.
There was space on the flight for Carney Chukwuemeka and Denis Zakaria, who is yet to play for Chelsea since arriving as a deadline-day loan signing from Juventus.
