Romelu Lukaku starts for Chelsea against Wolves this afternoon, but Mason Mount has been benched by manager Thomas Tuchel.
N’Golo Kante remains absent with a minor issue picked up at Manchester United last week, while Jorginho was substituted in the subsequent defeat against Everton with his own knock. Callum Hudson-Odoi (back) is also still sidelined, along with long-term absentee Ben Chilwell (knee).
Mateo Kovacic replaces Jorginho in midfield alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek against Wolves, while Hakim Ziyech remains a substitute despite impressing off the bench against Everton.
Lukaku was left on the bench at Goodison Park when Chelsea were chasing an equaliser. Tuchel said on Friday: “He has trained very well and maybe he starts tomorrow, let’s see.”

Asked what Lukaku needs to do to change his fortunes at Chelsea, Tuchel added: “I don’t know what needs to happen. He needs to happen, everyone needs to happen. This is the life of a footballer at this level. It needs to happen, he needs to happen and we have to support him.”
Lukaku joins Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic in Chelsea’s front three, with Kai Havertz on the bench along with Mount.
Andreas Christensen and Ross Barkley are both back in the squad after illness, meanwhile.
