Chelsea fans agree on Petr Cech moment during England vs World XI in Soccer Aid 2022

It's been three years since Petr Cech retired from playing football professionally. The goalkeeper made more than 500 appearances throughout his illustrious career, and of course represented Arsenal and Chelsea.

Now Chelsea's technical and performance advisor, the 40-year-old no longer plays football regularly, although he still showed his quality on Sunday evening. Cech was part of the World XI team taking part in Soccer Aid 2022 against England at London Stadium.

The match, which raises money for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), features a number of recognisable faces, including debuts from Alex Brooker, Lucien Laviscount and Noah Beck. Former One Direction singer Liam Payne captains England while the Soccer Aid World XI team sees the return of Usain Bolt as captain.

During the early stages of the game, Tom Grennan found space in the World XI half and tried his luck from range. But the stinging effort was well saved by a back peddling Cech, who still showcased his star quality.

A number of Chelsea fans took to social media to praise the former Chelsea and Arsenal stopper.
