Chelsea dominated in a fierce WSL top-of-the-table clash between the Blues and Manchester United and Sam Kerr once again proved why she is key to this Emma Hayes side.
United started the day top of the table but Chelsea were just one point behind as they chased them down just a week after losing out in the Conti Cup final.
Chelsea took the lead just 23 minutes in after Kerr's third attempt at goal finally paid off with an effort over Mary Earps that the United keeper was never going to save.

Midway through the second half, Manchester United started to come back into the game as they produced several chances but they couldn't get past Chelsea's defence.
Martha Thomas coming on as a substitute for United around the 70th minute made an instant impact as she looked to thwart the Blues but Emma Hayes' response was to push United even more, turning the game into a spicier affair to close the Reds down.
The Chelsea boss changed formation and brought on Magdalena Eriksson for Jessie Fleming, while Melanie Leupolz is already proving exactly why she was given a new contract just months after giving birth. The midfielder fought for her team as she pushed forward, creating space and chances while sliding in with tackles.
Niamh Charles is also proving her solidity in the team as she played a crucial role in stopping United's flow of attacks down the right.
All in all for Chelsea, it wasn't their best and a scrappy but very feisty game saw tackles and challenges flying in between duels which would've seen it as a cup-worthy match, but the Blues managed to deny United's closing chances as they pushed for a win.
Chelsea are now two points clear at the top of the table and next face Manchester City on Sunday March 26 at the Academy Stadium.
